Montreal Fashion Week

The 16th edition of Montreal Fashion (MFW) week kicks off next week from March 2nd to 5th, at Marché Bonsecours in the heart of Old Montreal. There, the hottest and most talented local, established and up-coming designers will be presenting their 2009-2010 Fall/Winter collections.

Marché Bonsecours - 350 St-Paul Street East

In addition to the regular fashion shows, Sensation Mode has brought back Le Showroom for its third edition. Le Showroom is a popular aspect of MFW, and is essentially a marketplace for buyers and sellers. It welcomes nearly 100 exhibitors and gives designers and manufacturers an ideal environment to conduct business.

Yussie and I are really looking forward to attending a few shows next week, including Dinh Bah, Muse By Christian Chenail, Ralph Leroy and Myco Anna. We will most definitely be reporting back on Montreal Fashion Minds about our experience, so stay tuned for photos and all the juicy details!

No Excuse for Abuse - Princess RiRi

As you all must have heard by now, Rihanna and Chris Brown did not make it to the Grammy awards Sunday night because of an argument that lead to assault after the Clive Davis pre-Grammys tribute event on Saturday night. Brown left Rihanna with contusions, a split lip, bloody nose and bite marks over her body. (for full story, and constant updates see http://www.perezhilton.com/)

As HUGE Rihanna fans, and women, we, at Montreal Fashion Minds, were deeply saddened by the horrible news of the ‘lovers quarrel’ between Chris Brown and Rihanna. Violence is NEVER the answer, and Brown surely crossed the line.
