Onze Boutique Spring Forward Contest Party

Wednesday April 14th we had the pleasure of attending a fun cocktail at Boutique Onze at their St. Denis location to celebrate the end of their Spring Forward with boutiqueonze.ca contest.

As we mentioned previously, the online contest was held from March 1st to April 2nd and on every Monday, a new question was posted on boutiqueonze.ca and participants had to correctly answer one of them to be eligible for the prize. They received over 4000 eligible ballots!!! Insane!

The event was very relaxed and welcoming. They had delicious cocktails, mini sandwiches and cute deserts. We mingled with the folks in attendance and checked out their ever so amazing collection of clothing, accessories and knick knacks.

We received a very delightful gift bag... which is always a great way to remember an event.

The lucky winner was Ms. Micheline Sicard, and the lucky gal walked away with the grand prize of $500. So amazing!! Boutique Onze even donated $200 from the evening’s sales to the Dans La Rue foundation. Fashion and a charitable event... how could you go wrong!

It was a pleasure and we will definitely be stopping by this summer for some flirty dresses that caught our eye ;)

As always, all the photos from the event are provided by our fab photographer Hugo Trottier. Thanks again!!!

Viktor & Rolf FW 2010/2011 Runway Show...

This is absolutely breathtaking, intriguing, inspirational and hella different!!

Viktor & Rolf's FW 2010/2011 runway show was soo awesome!

As one single model, wearing a ton of clothing, stood very still in the middle of a rotating floor, the duo peeled off layers and added them to the models walking down the runway!! It is sooo fantastical! Even the set showing the factory wheels is mind blowing. Love.

We wouldn't mind working in this factory all day!

Enjoy!

Lookin' Lovely at the Oscars...

Sunday night was the 2010 Oscar Awards... and while most of the ladies missed the mark on choosing a dress that was fashionable and stylish... these ladies did it right!

Here is our Top Ten Loveliest Looks of the night

Our #1 is Rachel McAdams. She looks absolutely, beyond, stunning in this gorgeous watercolor print dress by Elie Saab. Her makeup was flawless and she looked breathtaking! There is nothing we don't love about this look!

#2 would have to go to Meryl Streep. She really stepped it up in this all white wrap gown by Project Runway alum Chris March. We are really diggin' the clutch and bulky earrings!

Our #3 choice is Carey Mulligan. We love the rock n' roll feel of this Prada dress. The bodice is full of punk rock embroidery and she looks fabulous! The shoes were a good match as were her fantastic earrings!

#4's spot is reserved for Cameron Diaz. She looks flawless in this a bead-encrusted gray gown by Oscar de la Renta. Her red lips really set the tone for this amazing look... This is not a typical look for her and really owns it.

Our #5 pick is Gabourey Sidibe. She worn a blue Marchesa flowy gown and girl worked it out! The color was amazing against her skin tone and we loooove the bling across the bodice!

The #6 spot holder is Elizabeth Banks. She went for a Versace dress with cascading ruffles and a fitted bodice. Her makeup is gorgeous and we love the subtle diamond headband.

#7 no doubt is meant for Miley Cyrus. We can't hate on this fantabulous champagne strapless gown by Jenny Packham. The bustier bodice is age appropriate and the beading and sequins keep it fresh. Her hair was very fitting for the look... girl looked good.

Our #8 is for newly engaged and proud mama, Nicole Richie. An entire dress of bling? How could we not love it?! We love the boho feel... and how the glitz of this Reem Acra dress turns up the heat!

#9 goes to funny girl Tina Fey. She wore a peek-a-boo black lace Michael Kors dress. She looked classy, sophisticated and true to her style. We love it!

And last, but certainly not least is Jennifer Lopez. She gets #10 because of that hideous hair... she looked like she just got off the treadmill. Besides that... we love this lavish Armani Prive gown. It's perfect for her body and we adore the large ruffle detail. Parfait!

And just because we mentioned in the beginning of this post... here is one of the ladies that tried a little tooo hard to be fashionable... We looove Charlize Theron but roses on her boobs? Really...??? Dior or not... no matter how many times we look at it... it's just all sorts of no.

Do you agree with our choices??

"Sex Sells, Unfortunately we sell jeans"... Diesel’s S/S 2010 denim collection

Diesel has just launched their Spring-Summer 2010 collection with their clever "Sex Sells. *Unfortunately We Sell Jeans" ad campaign. Inspired by the alchemy of fire and water, the washes and treatments of these super sexy jeans are right on point.

Inspired by the distressed and burned jeans worn by fire fighters - fire denim is created through specialized techniques developed to create a battered, charred and toasted effect. Look like a real hero without the dirty work!

On the opposite realm, the water group creates a cool vibe with blue and azure. The shades range from dark indigo denim to hard bleached pieces. Some of the pieces have traces of droplets and splashes, using a saltcellar to hand-paint the denim with different hues. Jean junkies will be intrigued and will want to get their hands on these wearable works of art. The treatments involve several different stages, that include: hand abrasions, sophisticated bleach and spray treatments, the use of different soaps and resins, squeezing, scrubbing, stone washing and sandblasting. Talk about complicity at its finest!

Fire and water… not your cup of tea? Well then get summery with their brightly colored denim in shades of light blue, pink, orange and green. They boast a new approach to fit and volume that will cool down the hottest months… For us ladies the collection includes a light denim cloth that is used for low-waist pyjama and Turkish style jeans. They also have slim jeans with a zip at the ankle, slim with zipped pockets and a boot-cut with flap pockets. And for the men in our lives they can stay fresh in the new ‘Tazy’ style that hugs the waist, with a looser cut at the thigh leading to a slender calf and ankle. Talk about getting fab for the summer!

Check out http://www.diesel.com/ for all the looks… and pick your summer style!

The new denim collection is available at 2114 de la Montagne in Montreal
