Fashion Lova’s Beware: SERIOUS FASHION OVERLOAD!!!!

John Galliano continued to turn heads with his 2009 Spring Couture collection for Christian Dior.

In Paris on January 26, 2009 John Galliano showcased his 2009 Spring Couture collection. It was filled with Victorian influences and layers of silk taffeta that created a collection of some of the most fabulous dresses I have ever laid my eyes on. He played with hemlines, pouffy shoulders, organza, floral designs and gorgeous silky hats.

The show featured a stained glass backdrop and corseted crinoline gowns that took 300 to 400 hours each to make. Some of the models included the gorgeous and my personal favorites Chanel Iman and Sasha Primovera, as well as Michelle Westgeest and Laura blokhina. STUNNING!!

When asked what his inspirations were and what do he thought about the recession, John Galliano answered "Flemish painters and Monsieur Dior," and to the point, "There's a credit crunch, not a creative crunch. Of course, everyone is being more careful with their discretionary purchases. I am. But it's our job to make people dream, and to provide the value in quality, cut, and imagination." ‘Nuff said. Enjoy!
