Montreal Fashion Minds: Nicole Richie Launches ‘Greatness' at Holts in Montreal….

Last week we were privileged to learn that Nicole Richie was headed to our very own MTL to promote her new clothing line ‘Winter Kate’ and her shoe collection for ‘House of Harlow 1960’. We quickly confirmed with each other that we had to go… so on Thursday we took a late lunch from work and headed downtown to Holt Renfrew.

Nicole was set to appear from 1pm-2:30pm and we arrived at 1pm on the dot. The place was packed to say the least and we were at the end of the line. With high hopes we waited… and waited… and waited some more.

We started to worry if she would show up at all, especially since we had to get back to work after… and then the cameras started to flash. Through all the lights we caught a glimmer of this ‘ever-so-tiny’ little lady in a gorgeous large brimmed hat, flowy boho top from her Winter Kate Collection, a long House of Harlow pendant, black opaque tights, Cut off denim shorts and Louboutins. We were so excited!

Once it was our turn to meet Nicole, our hearts raced… we handed her our copies of the March issue of Fashion Magazine with her on the cover (wearing Winter Kate and House of Harlow of course!)… and anxiously waited for her to sign it.

She was so pretty with her large cat-like eyes, flawless skin and silky hair. She said it was a pleasure to meet us and we said the same. She was very sweet and soft spoken. We also congratulated her on her ‘not so new news’ of her engagement to Joel Madden. She thanked us and then we took a cute photo! Before we walked away… we had to check out the ring… all we can say is ‘dayyyumm Joel… you did good boyeee’ hehehe…

It was soo much fun!
