RIP To An Irreplaceable Legend

Whenever you were bored with fashion... all you had to do was Google Alexander McQueen and you would get lost for hours ogling his stunning and unique designs. His runway shows were spectacular and we hoped to one-day attend. All that is a dream now, as 40-year young, Alexander McQueen died February 11th, 2010. His tragic death falls about one week after his mother passed away.

Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour called McQueen "one of the greatest talents of his generation. He brought a uniquely British sense of daring and aesthetic fearlessness to the global stage of fashion. In such a short career, Alexander McQueen's influence was astonishing - from street style, to music culture and the world's museums," she said in a statement. "His passing marks an insurmountable loss."

McQueen was known for pushing fashion boundaries. His S/S 2010 collection featured sculptured dresses in snakeskin prints, 'Armadillo' shoes, head cones and just overall fabulosity! The models marched down the runway to Lady Gaga's Bad Romance. She even donned some items from the collection in her 'Bad Romance' music video.
